Entities
Entities are like the nouns in a sentence. They are used to clarify a user’s intent. You want Watson Conversation to be able to notice or extract entities that will prompt statements or follow-up questions. For example, if someone says, “I had candy”, this response could be recognized by an entity named @unhealthy_food. (The @ sign is used to indicate entities in the Watson Conversation tool.)
The Food Coach also has a list of general @food values to ensure that it can recognize users’ responses.
