The Iteanz Guidewire BillingCenter Business Analyst (BA) Training is designed to provide professionals with a deep functional understanding of Guidewire’s billing and receivables management system. As the insurance industry shifts towards digital transformation, BillingCenter acts as the financial backbone, managing the lifecycle of billing, payments, and commissions.

This course bridges the gap between business requirements and technical implementation. Students will learn how to leverage Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) features, manage the billing lifecycle, handle delinquency, and configure agency billing, enabling them to serve as effective liaisons between business stakeholders and technical developers.

Prerequisites

To derive the maximum benefit from this course, attendees should have:

  • Basic understanding of the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Business Analysis concepts (Requirement gathering, SDLC/Agile).
  • Note: No programming/coding knowledge (Java/Gosu) is required as this is a functional course.

  • Suspense Payments: Handling unidentified funds.

  • Outgoing funds: Refunds and Return Premiums.
  • Disbursement approval workflows.
  • Account Transfers and Policy Transfers.
  • Negative Invoice Items.
Module 7: Delinquency & Trouble Handling
  • The Delinquency Lifecycle.
  • Delinquency Plans & Workflows.
  • Dunning Letters and Notifications.
  • Grace Periods and Late Fees.
  • Exceptions: Putting a Hold on Delinquency.
  • Lab: Triggering a delinquency process for non-payment and executing a cancellation.

  • Product Designer: Overview of configuring the product model (Light Config).
  • Requirement Gathering workshops for Billing.
  • Fit-Gap Analysis: Identifying what is OOTB vs. Custom.
