The Iteanz Guidewire ClaimCenter Testing Training is designed for Quality Assurance (QA) professionals and Software Testers who aspire to specialize in the P&C Insurance domain. ClaimCenter is a complex, workflow-driven application handling the entire lifecycle of a claim from First Notice of Loss (FNOL) to final payment and closure.
This course goes beyond simple UI testing. It trains participants to validate complex business rules, financial calculations (Reserves/Payments), automated assignment logic, and third-party integrations. Students will learn how to design effective test scenarios, execute functional and regression tests, and perform backend database validation using SQL.
Prerequisites
To derive the maximum benefit from this course, attendees should have:
- Software Testing Fundamentals: Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Bug Life Cycle, and Test Case creation.
- SQL Basics: Ability to write basic queries (Select, Where, Join) for backend validation.
- Domain Knowledge: Basic familiarity with Insurance terms (Policy, Deductible, Liability) is beneficial but will be covered during the course.

- Navigation: Understanding the ClaimCenter Workspace, Sidebar, and Tab Bar.
Lab: Logging in with different roles (Adjuster, Supervisor, Admin) to understand permission-based testing.
- Test Scenarios for FNOL: Auto, Property, and Liability claims.
- Testing "Verified" (Policy exists) vs. "Unverified" (Policy snapshot) claims.
- Validating mandatory fields and Wizard steps.
- Negative Testing: Trying to file a claim on a cancelled policy or outside coverage dates.
Lab: executing an end-to-end FNOL test case for a multi-vehicle accident.
- Segmentation Rules: Verifying if the system correctly marks a claim as Low/Mid/High complexity.
- Assignment Rules: Testing if the claim routes to the correct Adjuster or Group based on location/type.
- Workplans: Verifying that the correct Activities/Tasks are generated automatically.
Lab: Creating a complex claim and verifying it is assigned to the "Complex Loss Unit."
- Understanding the Parent-Child relationship (Claim -> Exposure).
- Coverage Logic: Testing Deductibles and Limits.
- Validating "Coverage in Question" logic.
- Testing the ability to reopen and close exposures independently.
Lab: Testing a scenario where the claim exceeds the policy limit.
- Reserves: Testing Initial Reserves and Reserve Adjustments.
- Checks & Payments: Testing Manual Checks, Scheduled Payments, and EFT.
- Authority Limits: Testing approval workflows (e.g., Adjuster tries to pay $50k but limit is $10k).
- Bulk Invoices: Testing payments to vendors (e.g., Towing companies).
Lab: Generating a payment that requires Supervisor approval and validating the approval queue.
- Subrogation Testing: Verifying the workflow to recover money from an at-fault third party.
- Salvage Testing: Validating the vehicle total loss process.
- Litigation Testing: Creating a "Matter" and assigning legal teams.
Lab: Executing a "Total Loss" scenario involving Salvage and final payment.
- Understanding the ClaimCenter Data Model.
- Key Tables: cc_claim, cc_exposure, cc_check, cc_reserve.
- SQL Validation: Writing queries to ensure front-end actions are saved correctly in the DB.
- Verifying Financial Consistency (T-Accounts).
- Policy System Integration: Verifying that policy data flows correctly into ClaimCenter.
- Vendor Integration: Testing Service Requests (e.g., assigning a repair shop).
- Document Management: Uploading, viewing, and deleting claim documents.
